I love inspirational quotes, especially when they are posted on twitter and fill the twitter stream with positive vibes. One day, I was contemplating how some of the more common quotes could be tailored to suit the practical man. You know the type; pragmatic, straight to the point, matter-of-fact kind of guy. Certainly these quotes are suitable for women as well, but my muse was The Practical Man.
“If at first you don’t succeed, lower your expectations.”
“All good things come to those who wait…or not.”
“Today is the First Day of the rest of your work week.”
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by a calendar and a clock.”
“People who say it can’t be done get to spend more time on the couch.”
“You can lead a horse to water, but you can not make him drink. Unless you use a salt lick and have him get nice and thirsty.”
“Is the glass half empty, or half full? Either way, there’s only half.”
“Everything happens for a reason. Some of those reasons suck.”
“If you love something, set it free. It’ll be a lot cheaper in the long run.”
