It was bound to happen. The man who had the most power to try and stop the trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic, who chose instead to ignore it, to lie to the American public, to misinform, to mock and ridicule everyone who tried to do the right thing, heads to the hospital with COVID-19. Trump’s arrogance finally got the better of him, and this time it’s not just his finances that are in trouble as a result. He is a 74-year old obese man, which doesn’t bode well for his chances of having a mild case of the disease. There’s no telling how many of his staffers he’s infected, how many they have infected and what will happen now at the highest levels of the US Government. A completely avoidable potential tragedy, that is just the most famous case of the same tragedy we’ve been watching play out for all of 2020. Not much left to say.
